The Difference Between Spur Gear and Helical Gear of Planetary Reducer

The difference include below points :

 

1. Structure:

Spur gear planetary reducer: The inner sun gear, planetary gear and ring gear all mesh with straight teeth.

Helical gear planetary reducer: The internal sun gear, planetary gear and ring gear all mesh with helical teeth.

 

2. Accuracy:

Spur gear planetary reducer: The accuracy is within 10 arcmin, and the precision can reach 6 arc minutes.

Helical planetary reducer: The accuracy is 5 arcmin, and the precision is within 1 arcmin.

 

3. Transmission torque and efficiency:

Spur gear planetary reducer: Under the same frame, the transmission torque of straight teeth mesh is smaller than that of helical planetary reducer, and the efficiency is lower.

Helical planetary reducer: Under the same frame, the transmission torque of the helical gear meshes is larger than that of straight-tooth planetary reducer, the transmission is stable and the efficiency is high.

 

4. In summary, the helical planetary reducer has higher precision and lower error than the spur gear planetary reducer.

 

G+ gear planetary reducer has higher transmission efficiency. On high-power planetary reducer, it has higher torque and more stable transmission; low-power gear reducer will also use helical gears to reduce transmission error.
