The connection between the planetary reducer and the motor includes direct connection, coupling connection, and belt pulley connection. The precautions for these connections during process are the same. Gigager engineer will share with you the precautions when connecting the motor to planetary reducer.
1. Allowable input shaft diameter: The input shaft hole of the reducer and the output shaft of the motor are generally connected by a collar with variable thickness. The input shaft hole of the reducer is the maximum value without the collar.
2. Maximum input speed: The maximum input speed of the motor should be less than the maximum input speed of the reducer.
3. Rated output torque: The rated output torque of the motor is multiplied by the reduction ratio to obtain the output torque of the reducer, which should be less than or equal to the rated output torque of the reducer.
4. Allowable input flange: it cannot be larger or smaller than the standard size of the secondary reducer. For example, the standard flange of one certain reducer is 80mm, and its’ secondary reducer is 60 and 120. The maximum allowable flange of this reducer should not be less than 60mm , also cannot be larger than 120mm.
Many planetary reducers cannot achieve the ideal use effect because of poor connection, users should pay attention to the four points mentioned above when connecting the planetary reducer and the motor to ensure efficient operation of equipment.
