Can the Belt Module Sliding Table Be Used Vertically?
The belt module sliding table is not allowed to be vertically loaded, because the main transmission part of the belt module is a timing belt, and the timing belt and the internal timing wheel are mutually biting and driving. When the vertical load is applied, it will double its own weight. Gravity, the inertia that accompanies the operation, puts the timing belt and the timing wheel under huge pressure, which is easy to cause slippage and tooth skipping. In the light of inaccuracy, the belt break may cause safety accidents, no matter from which angle. From the point of view, belt modules are not suitable for vertical loads.
You’d better to use a ball screw module for the vertical load, because the ball screw has a considerable dynamic load, and the structure is also a rigid connection, which can stably meet the load in the vertical state.
